
No. 20 Water Polo Falls to No. 14 Cal Baptist

Santa Clara, CA - The No. 14 Cal Baptist Lancers cruised to a 9-3 victory over the No. 20 Brown men's water polo team in the first game of the Santa Clara Rodeo Tournament.
The Lancers jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first eight minutes of the game, and added one goal in the second as they held the Bears scoreless to gain a 4-1 lead at the half. Then, Cal Baptist combined for five goals in the final two stanzas to earn a 9-3 victory.
Brown's Dean Serure, Ryan Gladych and Svetozar Stefanovic each scored one goal, as junior goalkeeper Max Lubin picked up five saves in the first half as Walker Shockley replaced Lubin in the second half picking up six saves.
The Bears will now matchup against UC Davis and Air Force today, and will then challenge Santa Clara and Pacific tomorrow.
