Men’s Water Polo Travels to California for Fullerton Mini Tournament

FULLERTON, CALIF. - The Brown men's water polo team (5-1, 1-0 NWPC) will travel to Fullerton, Calif. for four non-conference games at the Fullerton Mini Tournament this weekend.

The Bears enter the weekend riding a three-game winning streak after opening NWPC action with a 14-10 triumph at Iona (Sept. 12). Dominik Balla leads Brown with 15 goals, while first-year Roland Csendes has added 12 goals. Balla and Csendes recorded hat tricks in the win over the Gaels. In goal, Dimitrios Kratimenos made 14 saves against Iona and has totaled an impressive 59 through Brown's first six games.

Brown will open the tournament on Friday against Biola (3-5) at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) before facing Fresno Pacific (2-7) at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT). Biola enters the weekend led by Noah Ryznar, who has scored 24 goals, while Gavin Starling has added 12 goals.

The Bears will return to the pool on Saturday to face tournament host Cal State Fullerton (5-7) at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT). Ethan Ivey has recorded 79 saves in goal for the Titans, while three Fullerton players have reached double figures in scoring with 21, 20, and 17 goals. Brown will close out the tournament against California Lutheran (1-4) at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT). Paul Patterson leads the Kingsmen with 17 goals.

Brown's games against Biola and Cal State Fullerton will be streamed on ESPN+, while live statistics for all four games will be available through Fosh. The official tournament landing page is available here.
