
Bears Dominate Amherst, Earns First Win, 9-0

Providence, Rhode Island - After a challenging early season
schedule, Brown put an exclamation point on its first win of the
season, defeating the Amherst Lord Jeff's by a 9-0
margin.
Coach Stuart leGassick's squad dominated from the top to the
bottom of the ladder, winning all but one match 3-0. Senior Laura Pyne was strong at the top of the lineup, taking a 3-1 decision at
number one.
The Bears also received solid victories from freshman Sarah Crosky
at number two, sophomore Nikoo Fadaifard, junior Sophie Scherl,
senior Kali Schellenberg, sophomore Erika Kohnen, freshman Lydia Smith, junior Carolyn Tilney and freshman Sarah Beresford.
The Bears will be back in action again on Saturday, January 23,
hosting Williams at 1:00 pm at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
