Danny Melong joined the Brown men’s soccer staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August 2015.
“It's great to have Danny on board and complete our staff for the 2015 season,” said head coach Pattrick Laughlin. “He has come highly recommended by Bowdoin Head Coach and former Brown Assistant Coach Scott Wiercinski. Danny is an enthusiastic young coach who has good experience internationally, in college and in the USSDA.”
Before coming to Brown, Melong was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team at Bowdoin College, where he graduated with a degree in romance languages in 2015. He also played with Shattuck-St. Mary's in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) at U18 and previously served as an assistant coach at the New England Soccer Academy. Melong is a native of Winnipeg and holds a United States Soccer Federation National “F” License.
