Aaron Horton
- Title:
- Volunteer Assistant Coach
The Brown University Men's Soccer program hired Aaron Horton as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the start of the 2021 season.
Horton has played professional soccer for the past 11 years both overseas and here in the states for both the Columbus Crew of MLS and FC Golden State in California.
He was a First Columbus Crew Generation Adidas Home Grown player from 2011-2013.
"I am excited to add Aaron to our staff," said Brown head coach Patrick Laughlin. "He brings a great deal of experience to our program as a professional player as he moves into collegiate coaching. I believe that Aaron will contribute immediately to the development of our attacking players and fit in well to our team culture."
Horton attended the University of Louisville in 2010 where he helped lead the Cardinals to the Big East Championship and the NCAA National Championship Game.
He scored the game-winning goals for Louisville in the Elite Eight and Final Four that year before eventually leaving college to turn pro.
Horton completed his college degree at California University of Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Sports Wellness and Fitness.
An Ohio native, he also competed for the US National U-17 and U-15 teams.
