- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Megan Hancock joined the field hockey staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2015 and completed her second season with the program in the fall of 2016. She works directly with the goalkeepers and defensive players while assisting the team with practice plans, travel schedules, fundraising and film breakdown.
Hancock came to College Hill after a standout field hockey career at nearby Bryant University (2010-14), where she was a two-year captain and was named Co-Goalkeeper of the Year and was an All-MAAC First Team selection in 2013. Hancock helped lead the Bulldogs to two MAAC Tournament appearances.
In addition to Brown, Hancock holds two other coaching positions, with USA Field Hockey and Cape Ann in Mansfield, Mass. At USA Field Hockey, Hancock is the assistant coach at the Bryant University Futures Site and the Brown University Level I Futures Site. Since 2013, she has worked with goalkeepers on fundamental, tactical and advanced skills. Hancock became the Cape Ann goalkeeping coach in 2015 and instructs U16 and U19 goalkeepers.
Hancock graduated from Bryant in December of 2014 with a degree in Entrepreneurship and minors in Sociology and Communication. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Providence College in addition to working as a graduate assistant for compliance in the College's Athletic Department.
