Women’s Cross Country Ranked 11th in Preseason Regional Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's track and field team is ranked 11th in the USTFCCCA Northeast Region Preseason Rankings, the organization announced on Monday.
Brown is one of six Ivy League schools ranked inside the top 15 in the Northeast Region, along with Yale (5), Harvard (7), Cornell (9), Columbia (10) and Dartmouth (15).
Brown's women will return 20 runners from last year's squad, which concluded the season with a 12th place out of 37 teams at the NCAA Northeast Regional. Four newcomers will also join this year's roster.
The Bears will open the 2026 season this Friday afternoon at the Friar Invitational, hosted by Providence College at Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass. Start time is set for 4:30 p.m.
