Odimegwu Named FCS Football Central Preseason All-American

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown senior defensive lineman Ike Odimegwu has been named a Second Team Preseason All-American by FCS Football Central, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Odimegwu was one of six Ivy Leaguers to be named a preseason All-American by the organization as he picks up his second Preseason All-American honor after being named a Second Team Preseason All-American by Stats Perform.
This marks the fourth time in the last six seasons a Brown player has earned Preseason All-America honors, joining EJ Perry in 2021 and Isaiah Reed in 2024.
Odimegwu is coming off a breakout junior season in 2025 where he earned Second Team-All-Ivy and Second Team Phil Steele All-Ivy honors. He ranked second in the Ivy League with 9.0 sacks, and 16th in all of FCS Football with 0.80 sacks per game. He added 10.0 tackles for loss, which ranked third in the Ivy League. He registered 3.0 sacks in the season-opener against Georgetown on September 20 and added 2.0 sacks and forced a fumble at Columbia on November 15.
Odimegwu enters the 2026 season with 9.0 career sacks, which ranks 13th in program history and is 8.5 sacks shy of Richard Jarvis' program record of 17.5.
Odimegwu and the Bears will kick off their 2026 season on Saturday, September 19 at New Haven.
