Women's Tennis Claims Fourth Consecutive Win at Home

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's tennis team (4-0) claimed their fourth consecutive home victory, defeating Holy Cross (2-3) on Tuesday at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Opening with doubles, Dani Ben-Abraham and Hannah Shen extended their win streak to four at the first line by routing Crusaders' Phoebe Devine and Margaret Winiecki, 6-0. At the second line, Abigail Lee and Chloe Qin notched their third spring victory by defeating Hannah Flynn and Maddie Hamm, 6-1. With the Bears clinching the doubles point by securing the first two matches, the third line doubles match between Anne Yang and Anne Moody and Ashley Zilora and Alison Lynn did not finish.

Building on the momentum from doubles, the Bears swept all their singles matches. At the first line, Ali Maguy defeated Phoebe Devine 6-4 and 6-2. Hannah Shen earned her win at the second line against Hannah Flynn, 6-3 and 6-4. Abigail Lee swept Maddie Hamm at the third line, 6-0 and 6-0. Dani Ben-Abraham also swept her match against Alison Lynn at the fourth line, 6-0 and 6-0. At the fifth line, Sari Woo secured her win against Ashley Zilora, 6-2 and 6-0. Lastly, Anne Yang earned her win at the sixth line against Cadie Sauter, 6-0 and 6-1.
