
Field Hockey 2025 Season Preview

Brown field hockey is set to begin its 2025 season at No. 14 UMass on Friday, Sept. 5.
The Bears will look to build upon a successful 2024 season in which they qualified for the Ivy League Tournament for the first time in program history.
Head coach Britt Broady enters her fourth season in charge of the Bears. Broady has the most wins by a head coach in their first three seasons and Brown has the most wins in a three-year period since 2006.
The Bears were selected third in the Ivy League Field Hockey Preseason Poll.

The Schedule
Brown will open its season with back-to-back road contests against ranked opponents in No. 14 UMass and No. 11 UConn (Sept. 7). The Bears’ home opener will be against Fairfield (Sept. 14).
Overall, the Bears will play four teams ranked in the Preseason Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll. The other two teams will be Ivy League foes Harvard (No. 6) and Princeton (No. 10).
Brown will play five teams that qualified for the 2024 NCAA Tournament in UMass, UConn, Princeton, Harvard, and Fairfield. Brown’s first three games will be against 2024 NCAA Tournament teams (UMass, UConn, Fairfield).
The Bears will begin Ivy League action at home against Yale (Sept. 20) before concluding the regular season at Dartmouth (Nov. 1). Overall, they will play 16 games and eight at Goldberger Family Field.

Key Returners
The Bears return five players who accumulated 10 or more points during the 2024 season in Lucy Adams (19), Mia Karine Myklebust (19), Lexi Pellegrino (14), Kiersten Smith (12), and Zoe Lawrence (10).
Adams and Myklebust were named First Team All-Ivy and NFHCA First Team All-Northeast Region last season. Adams became the first Bear since 1999 to be named an All-American when she was named an NFHCA Second Team All-American.
Kylee Del Monte returns to the Bears for her senior season, the goalkeeper started all 17 games last season and posted a 1.96 goals against average and a .679 save percentage.
Adams, Myklebust, and Pellegrino were named to the NFHCA Collegiate Watchlist.

New Faces on College Hill
Brown’s class of 2029 features seven student athletes: Grace Almeida, Sophia Clark, Ellie Burger, Daisy Tuthill, Emily Jury, Simar Dhillon, and Ellie Parker.

2024 Recap
With a 4-3 win over Penn in the final game of the 2024 regular season, Brown punched its ticket to the program’s first-ever Ivy League Tournament. Brown’s 43 goals were the third-most in a single season in program history and the most since they scored 50 during the 2000 season.
Brown’s four Ivy League victories were the most since the Bears went 5-2 in 2005, Brown’s nine overall victories were the most since the 2014 season. Brown won seven out of its final nine regular season contests last season.
The Bears ranked first nationally in attack penalty corners per game in 2024.

Record Watch
Lexi Pellegrino ranks tied for 11th place in program history for most career points (54), she is 19 points away from moving into the top five. She is tied for sixth place in program history in career goals (25) and is 13 goals away from being the program leader in career goals.
Kylee Del Monte’s five shutouts rank tied for 10th in program history, she is five shutouts away from moving into the top five. Del Monte’s 30 career appearances rank 14th in program history.

Bears on the International Stage
Lucy Adams participated in the New Zealand Tour with the United States National Team in January and was named to the 2025 United States Women’s National Team for the FIH Hockey Nations Cup in February. She was also one of 24 athletes selected to the Team USA roster for the Cathy Bessant International Series against No. 11 Ireland. The series took place from June 7-8 in Charlotte, N.C.
Adams took part in the Pan-American Games in July in Montevideo, Uruguay. There, the United States qualified for the 2026 World Cup.
Mia Karine Myklebust competed in the Junior Pan-American Games with the U-21 Team this summer, the squad reached the Gold Medal Match.
Myklebust and Kate Siedam were selected to compete in the 2025 Field Hockey Senior Nexus Championship in July.
Freshman Ellie Parker was selected to the U-21 Junior Women’s National Team Selection Camp, the camp will take place in December.
