Field Hockey Travels to Columbia on Friday, Hosts UMass Lowell on Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown field hockey team (2-3, 0-1) will continue Ivy League play at Columbia (3-2, 0-1) on Friday before hosting UMass Lowell (4-4, 0-0) on Sunday.
Sunday's game against UMass Lowell will be Brown's Pride Game.
Last Time Out
The Bears opened Ivy League play with a 3-1 loss against then-No. 18 Yale (Sept. 20), Lexi Pellegrino scored the lone goal for Brown in the loss.
Against Stonehill (Sept. 21), Brown earned an 8-0 win as Pellegrino netted three first half goals and recorded six points. Pellegrino's six points were the most since teammate Kiersten Smith had five in Brown's 8-1 win over Dartmouth (Oct. 4, 2024). Brown's eight goals matched a single game program record.Â
Pellegrino also scored her 30th career goal in the win, moving her up to fourth in program history; her 65 career points ranks eighth in program history.
The Bears' 23 points were the most since they also had 23 in a 7-2 win over Georgetown (Oct. 22, 2023), Brown's seven assists are also the most since its win over Georgetown in 2023.
The shutout for Brown was the second in three games at Goldberger Family Field this season.

The Bears will be seeking their first road win of the 2025 season, both losses have come against nationally ranked opponents in UMass and UConn.
Pellegrino is tied for first in the Ivy League with five goals, her 1.0 goals per game ranks 16th nationally. Pellegrino's 11 total points is tied for second in the Ivy League, her 2.20 points per game ranks 19th nationally. The Westwood, Mass. native has scored in three-straight games.
Ellie Parker's .759 save percentage ranks 17th in the nation and third in the Ivy League. Parker's 4.40 saves per game also ranks third in the Ivy League.
As a team, Brown's 7.80 points per game ranks second in the Ivy League.

Columbia fell 5-2 in its Ivy League opener to Cornell (Sept. 19), the Lions have lost two-straight games after opening the season 3-0.
Jacinta Solari Etcheberry leads the Lions with four goals and nine points through the first five games of the season. Margot Houle has started all five games in goal for Columbia, she is sporting a .725 save percentage.
Scouting UMass Lowell (4-4, 0-0)
The River Hawks have won two-straight games after defeating New Haven 14-0 (Sept. 19) and Kent State 3-2 in overtime (Sept. 21). The River Hawks' 14 goals against New Haven was the second-most in a single game by a team nationally this season, their 36 points was the third-most in a single game by a team this season.
UMass Lowell ranks 12th nationally with 3.0 assists per game and eighth nationally with 3.88 goals per game. They lead the America East in assists per game, goals per game, points per game, and scoring average.Â
