Track and Field Completes Day One of Ivy Indoor Heps

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Brown track and field programs competed at day one of the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships on Saturday. Six Bears earned points on the first day, as the men's team garnered 14 team points and the women's team collected 17.
MEN
Junior Frank Monahan-Morang finished second in the men's long jump earning him second-team All-Ivy honors. It's the first All-Ivy selection of his career, with his mark of 7.38 meters being a personal best. That mark is tied for the sixth best in school history.
Keith Daigneau finished top five in the men's weight throw with a mark of 19.97 meters. It was a personal record and fourth best in school history.
WOMEN
Chidinma Agbasi finished third in the women's weight throw with a mark of 19.77 meters. She extended her previous school record by .05 meters. The podium finished earned her team six points.
Michelyn Appiah was fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 18.81 meters, while earning four points for the team. She set a new PR and now holds the second mark in school history.
Jada Joseph finished sixth in the women's long jump with a mark of 6.09 meters and earning one point for her team.
Delaney Seligmann was third in the pentathlon scoring with a total of 3850 points. She earned six points for the team and was 16 scoring points off her career best.
TOMORROW
Several events will finish on Sunday, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Bears currently sit in sixth place in the men's team standings and third place in the women's team standings.
