PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Alex Semenenko (285) capped off an excellent weekend of wrestling with his second consecutive appearance on the weekly Ivy League Honor Roll. The official Ivy League press release can be found HERE.
Semenenko went 2-0 over the weekend, defeating Jeffrey Crooks (Harvard) by way of pinfall (0:45) on Friday night (2/21) and Matthew Walker (Sacred Heart) by technical fall (18-3) on Saturday night (2/22).
With his pinfall victory against Harvard, Semenenko now has a whopping 12 pinfalls on the season, which ties him for 4th in NCAA DI. The inaugural Ivy Tournament is scheduled for March 9 and there is little question that Semenenko has his eyes set on another dominant performance in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Championships later in the month.
Semenenko ended the 2024-25 regular season with an overall record of 19-11, going 6-4 against the Ivy League and 7-5 in dual competition.
