
Women's Water Polo Falls to Villanova in Crimson Classic Finale

CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Brown women's water polo (3-5) dropped its final contest of the Crimson Classic to Villanova (6-5), 11-8. The Bears were led by Aubrie Anderson with four goals on the day.
Brown fell behind early, surrendering the first three goals of the game but pulled back withing one at 4-1 after a goal by Anderson. Villanova responded with two goals to take a 6-3 lead into halftime.
The Bears used four goals coming from Anderson, Claire Poissonnier, Ella Palmer and Gabby Montalvo in the third quarter to make it an 8-7 game but the Wildcats took a two-goal lead into the final frame.
Anderson's fourth goal of the game came with six minutes left to cut the lead to one but Villanova scored the final two goals of the contest for the win.
UP NEXT
Brown will make the trip to Santa Clara next weekend to play four games in the Bronco Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
