
Hank Zimmerman and Grace Collins Named Women’s Crew Assistant Coaches

Hank Zimmerman most recently served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the openweight women's team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. There, he helped the team earn gold in the 1v8 and 2v8 at the New England Championship. He also led the Engineers to the best league finish in program history. Zimmerman totaled 10 years of experience at MIT.
Prior to that, he spent time at Princeton, Georgetown, Franklin and Marshall College, and with the US Men's Senior National Team. At Princeton, Zimmerman coached the Varsity 4+ to a bronze medal at the IRA National Championship.
Zimmerman graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Arts in history, and a minor in sport psychology. He received a Master's of Education from Millersville University.
Grace Collins is an experienced rower that competed for the University of Michigan from 2017-2022, serving as a team leader. There, Collins led the Wolverines to Big Ten Championships in 2019 and 2021 in the 1V8+. She contributed to the third place finish at the 2019 NCAA's, and fourth place in 2021. Collins collected honors such as All Big Ten Athlete First Team in 2022, Second Team in 2021, All-American Second Team in 2022, and Pocock All-American Nominee in 2020. While at Michigan, Collins also served as the President of Athletes for Community Transformation, a recruiting aid to coaches, and a leadership development ambassador. Collins graduated from the University of Michigan in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in applied exercise science, and a minor in business.
After graduating, Collins spent three years at Salesforce as a Sales Development Representative and Business Development Representative.
