Julia Kakkis Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week For Second Time

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown volleyball setter Julia Kakkis was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week after her performances against Penn and Princeton over the weekend. It is the second Rookie of the Week honor for Kakkis this season.
Kakkis averaged a stellar 11.25 assists per set in the two matches, while added five kills, three service aces and six digs. She guided Brown's offense to hitting .258 over the two matches.
Against Penn, Kakkis collected 37 assists with three kills, three aces and four digs. In a tough five set loss to Princeton, Kakkis finished with a career-high 53 assists and was the first Bear since Sept. 22, 2023 to finish with 50+ assists. She also had two kills, two digs and one block in the match.
