Men's Swimming Sets New 400 Medley Relay School Record at Bruno Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's swimming and diving program made history on Friday by setting the team's new 400 medley relay record.Â
Marton Nagy, Jack Kelly, Christopher Zhang, and Marcus Lee were the history making competitors at the Bruno Invitational, finishing the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:10.18. The team of Finn Quested, Max Moore, Tucker Peterson, and Jerry O'Mara finished third in the men's 400 medley relay with a time of 3:14.00.
The women's swimming and diving team also dominated the 400 medley relay, with Jenna Reznicek, Gillian Tu, Zehra Bilgin, and Kelly Dolce winning the event with a time of 3:37.68. Lily Welsh, Kaitlyn Holmes, Lillian Klinginsmith, and Audrey Chung came in second place with a time of 3:42.09.Â
Dolce, Klinginsmith, Reznicek, and Bilgin won the women's 200 yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 1:32.40. Lee, Zhang, Jonathan Gim, and Donavan Jeng came in second place in the men's 200 yard freestyle relay with a final time of 1:19.14.
Christian Duetoft won the men's 500 yard freestyle, posting a finals time of 4:22.06. In the men's 200 yard IM, Brown had each of the top six swimmers in the event, with Marton Nagy taking first place with a finals time of 1:45.42.Â
In the men's 1 mtr diving, Rowland Lawver won the event with a finals score of 370.60.Â
UP NEXT
Brown will look to follow up a successful Friday at the Bruno Invitational when they return to action on Saturday (Nov. 23) with prelims slated to start at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 5 p.m.
