Equestrian Earns Two Individual Wins at Home Show

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown equestrian had two individuals pick up wins in its home show on Saturday (Oct. 26).

Julia Byrne finished sixth in the Open Fences event and Caroline Hwang took sixth in the Open Flat.

In the Intermediate Flat, Byrne finished second and because of her point value has now qualified for regionals in the intermediate flat. Sydney Fritz took third in the event with Judy Lee taking sixth.

Hwang also finished fifth in the Intermediate Fences.

In the Limit Fences, Cassady Churchill finished fourth, followed by Fritz in fifth.

Lauren Zhou took second in the Novice Flat.

Brown's first win of the show came from Catalina Coral, who won the Pre-Novice Flat. Lara Nahcivan took fourth and Abigail Grove placed fifth.

Lauryn Mills won the Introductory Flat competition and Emmanuelle Bal also competed in the event.

Brown's next show will be at the Roger Williams Show at Sandy Point Stables on Saturday, Nov. 2.
