Equestrian Finishes Season With Strong Showing at Ivy Show

ITHACA, N.Y. – Brown equestrian had a strong showing at the Ivy Show at Cornell in the final show of the season for the Bears.

Brown had one individual champion and 10 total top-three finishes during the event.

Julia Byrne finished first in the Open Fences and was also the overall show champion for Open Fences. Sophia Ekstrand finished fourth and Charlotte Bain was fifth in the Open Fences.

In the Open Flat competition, Ekstrand was the top finisher for Brown with a third-place finish, followed by Bain in fourth and Byrne in fifth.

Daphne Maniatis finished third in the Intermediate Fences as Brown's best finisher. Maniatis was fourth in the overall show championship in the Intermediate Fences. Sophie Butcher finished fourth and Amber Keown-Lang was seventh.

In the Intermediate Flat, Keown-Lang earned a third-place finish, while Maniatis and Butcher both finished fifth.

Sydney Fritz finished fourth in the Limit Flat and fifth in the Limit Fences.

In the Novice competition, Jonna Batten finished third with Haitian Zhou finishing fifth and Ariel Montague taking sixth.

Luoyun Wang and Grace Skavdahl tied for second in the Pre-Novice with Alix Hamon and Jess Jacyno finishing in third. Sienna Lew took fourth place for the Bears.

Catalina Coral earned a third-place finish in the Introductory, followed by Xinwei Li (fourth) and Kira Clarke (5th).
