Equestrian Collects Five Wins at Rhode Island Show

ASHAWAY, R.I. – Brown equestrian had five riders earn first-place finishes at the University of Rhode Island Show on Saturday (Nov. 11).
In the Open Fences competition, Samantha Weinerman finished fourth and also finished sixth in the Open Flat.
Brown's first win came in the Intermediate Flat with Sophie Butcher finishing first. Amber Keown-Lang finished fourth in the flat, followed by Daphne Maniatis in fifth and Julia Byrne in sixth.
In the Intermediate Fences, Keown-Lang and Butcher tied for fourth and Maniatis took sixth.
Sydney Fritz won the Limit Fences event with Lauren Lee-Hing taking second. Fritz finished in third in the Limit Flat competition.
Brown dominated the Novice event with a win by Orly Richter and a second-place finish by Ariana Zwern and fifth-place finish by Alix Hamon.
The Bears went 1-2 in the Pre-Novice competition with Judy Lee winning the event and Jessica Jacyno taking second.
Charlize Sentosa took first in the Introductory competition and Catalina Coral took second.
UP NEXT
Brown will finish its fall season next weekend competing in another show hosted by Rhode Island on Saturday, Nov. 18.
