Volleyball tabbed as Ivy League Preseason Poll favorites

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown women's volleyball was selected to repeat as Ivy League Champions in the Ivy League Preseason Volleyball poll, the league announced on Friday (Aug. 26).
The Bears, who won the Ivy League title last season for the first time since 2001, took home 14 of the 16 first-place votes. Princeton finished second in the poll with the other two first-place votes, followed by Yale in the third place. The poll rounded out with Harvard in fourth, followed by Dartmouth, Penn, Cornell and Columbia.
Ivy League Coach of the Year Ahen Kim returns the majority of his lineup, including Ivy League Player of the Year Cierra Jenkins, Ivy League Rookie of the Year Beau Vanderlaan and Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year Victoria Vo. Ivy League First Team members Sophia Miller and Kate Sheire also return for the Bears.
Brown begins its season hosting a weekend tournament on Sept. 3-4, taking on Rhode Island on Friday at 7 p.m.
