PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown volleyball head coach Ahen Kim has announced the Bears' 2022 schedule. The slate for the Bears will feature 10 home games, including a season-opening home tournament.
The Bears will begin the season hosting a tournament on Sept. 2-3 with games against Rhode Island, Air Force and Siena. Brown's only non-conference midweek game will follow with a matchup at Bryant on Sept. 6.
"I am so pleased to announce that we will be hosting URI opening weekend as we welcome Bronw University's freshman class of 2026," said Kim. "Reviving this in-state rivalry will also provide the volleyball community in Rhode Island an exciting match to look forward to each year."
Brown will finish non-conference play with tournaments at Rice (Sept. 9-11) and two matches at UConn (Sept. 17).
"Rice University will host us on our second weekend, where we will compete against three teams that were part of last year's NCAA Tournament," said Kim. "This trip will also be a nice homecoming for Houston native, Kayla Griebl."
The 2021 Ivy league Champions will begin their attempt at a repeat beginning league play on Sept. 23 with a home match against Yale. The Bears will spend the next two weekends on the road before finishing the first half of the Ivy League schedule hosting Penn (Oct. 14) and Princeton (Oct. 15).
The Bears will finish the regular season with home matches against Harvard (Nov. 11) and Dartmouth (Nov. 12).
