Women’s Hockey Presents Team Awards, Honors Seniors at Annual Banquet

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's hockey team held its annual banquet on Wednesday evening at Red Stripe in Providence and presented its team awards and university letter sweaters to members of the freshman, sophomore and senior classes, as well as framed jerseys to the senior class.

Most Valuable Player – Shay Maloney

Served as team captain
Earned All-Ivy Honorable Mention accolades
Led the team with a career-highs in goals (11) and points (19), and tied for second with eight assists
Tied for the team lead with three power play goals and led the way with two game-winning goals
Third consecutive Team MVP Award

Most Improved Player – Madie Stockfish

Served as an alternate captain
Ranked third on the team with six goals and tied for fourth with seven assists
Tied for third with 13 points
Had four multi-point games on the season

Tara Mounsey Award (Best Defensive Player) – Cameron Sikich and Kaley Doyle
Sikich:

Scored one goal and tied for fourth on the team with seven assists
Served as a top line defenseman
Led the Bears in plus/minus

Doyle:

Named one of three finalists for ECAC Rookie of the Year
Named to the All-ECAC Second Team
Second Team All-Ivy selection

Alli McMillan Award – Lizzy Gross

Presented to the team's unsung hero
Finished the season with four goals and five assists
Ranked second on the team with 57 shots
Picked up a pair of assists against Harvard on Nov. 13…Tallied a goal and an assist in a tie at Dartmouth on Feb. 6

Panda Cup – Meadow Carman

The Panda Cup is awarded annually to that member of the Brown Women's Ice Hockey Team who, for the past season, has demonstrated outstanding team spirit, good sportswomanship and dedication to playing ice hockey
Appeared in 28 games as a defenseman
Scored her first career goal at Saint Anselm on Dec. 2
Scored game-tying goals against Cornell on Jan. 21 and at Dartmouth on Feb. 6.
