ATLANTA – Brown women's swimming and diving's Jenna Reznicek finished with a time of 52.61 in the prelims of the women's 100 backstroke at the NCAA Championships on Friday (March 18).
Reznicek was the first Brown swimmer to make the NCAA Championships since 2004 and performed well with a 35th place finish in the event.
"Jenna put together a great race this morning in what is unquestionably the most competitive women's 100 Backstroke field in NCAA history," said Kate Kovenock, Mary Ann Lippitt Women's Swimming/Diving Coaching Chair. "Her game plan was spot on — she went out after it in the first 50. We're all so proud of the first-year season that Jenna put together and excited for her future here at Brown. She's an exciting swimmer on the rise."
The first year swimmer, and Ivy League champion, finished better than 22 other swimmers in the event.
