
Vanderlaan named AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sophomore Beau Vanderlaan has been named to the 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I All-Region Team, the association announced on Tuesday (Dec. 6).
Vanderlaan earned East Region Honorable Mention honors after a stellar season and helping the Bears earn a spot on the Ivy League Tournament Finals.
Vanderlaan was unanimously named First Team All-Ivy after leading the Ivy League in hitting percentage during league play (.473), leading the league by more that 70 points. Vanderlaan also led the league in total blocks (73) and blocks per set (1.35).
The Oak Park, Ill., native finished the regular season hitting over .400 in 13 of her last 14 matches and had eight matches during Ivy League play with double-figure kills. Vanderlaan also had eight Ivy League matches with at least five blocks.
