Iginla Honored by ECAC as Rookie of the Week

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – For the second time this season, Brown freshman forward Jade Iginla has been recognized as the ECAC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Iginla posted two goals and one assist to help Brown go 1-1-0 last week, assisting on the Bears' goal in a 1-0 victory over Holy Cross on Tuesday, and scoring twice to give the Bears the lead in a 4-3 loss at No. 11 Providence on Saturday.
For the season, Iginla leads the team with five goals and eight points. Over her last three games, she has totaled five points including three goals and two assists.
Iginla was previously named the Rookie of the Week back on October 25 after posting three points in her first two collegiate games.
Brown will return to the ice this weekend when it hosts No. 6 Colgate on Friday and No. 10 Cornell on Saturday at Meehan Auditorium to start a five-game homestand that will span the entire month of December.
