Women's Rugby Releases Fall Schedule

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown University Women's Rugby program released it's 2021 fall schedule today. The Bears open the fall season at home against Army on September 4th at 11:00am at Marvel Field.
"We are very excited about the upcoming fall season," said head coach Kathy Flores. "Not only because it's a return to "normal" but we are looking at having a very strong squad with our 2021 additions. A couple of notable student athletes who we feel will really make the difference for us in the forwards are Elizabeth Mahoney and Akilah Cathey. Their size and power will add to and increase the stability of our scrum. Our schedule is very competitive and we are looking forward to it coming off of a strong finish in 2019."
It has been a while since the Bears last competed on the pitch. Their spring season in 2020 along with the fall and spring seasons in 2020-2021 were cancelled due to the pandemic.
The Bears finished their fall schedule in 2019 with a record of 6-4.
