PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown Athletics will compete in two away events this weekend, with the sailing team participating in its first competition since becoming a varsity sport. Below, you will find the most up-to-date listing of our spring-sport schedules. You can also find the information under each respective sport's "Schedule" section. Dates and times for all contests are subject to change.
Attendance at away events will be dictated by the host institution.

Men's Crew at Holy Cross with Trinity College
Date: Saturday, April 17
Time: 12:00 p.m.
Location: Worcester, Mass. (Lake Quinsigamond)
Preview: Brown men's crew returns to competition for the first time since the Tail of the Charles on November 16, 2019 – a span of 518 days – and will compete in the spring season for the first time since the IRA National Championships on June 2, 2019 – a span of 685 days. In Brown's last full season of racing in 2018-19, the Bears finished third in the first varsity eight and fourth as a team at the Eastern Sprints before placing seventh in the first varsity eight and sixth as a team at the IRA National Championships.

Preview: Competing for the first time as a varsity program, Brown sailing will race at the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) Championships this weekend. Saturday will feature the New England Women's Championships with the top five teams qualifying for a spot at the ICSA Women's National Championships. Sunday will feature the New England Coed Championships with the top five teams qualifying for the ICSA Coed National Championships. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy and Connecticut College will co-host the event sailed in flying juniors (FJs).

Recap: Sophomore Jadey Hagiwara hit a two-run home run on her first career hit, but Brown softball fell at Holy Cross, 8-5, in its first away game of the season. Playing in their second game after their season-opening 2-0 win over Johnson & Wales on Sunday, the Bears remained within 1-0 entering the bottom of the fifth and tallied five runs over the final two frames before the host Crusaders held on for the victory. Hagiwara sparked the Brown offense with her two-run blast in just her fourth career at bat.
