Cierra Jenkins named Honorable Mention All-America

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown volleyball's Cierra Jenkins added to her list of recognitions this season, being named Honorable Mention All-America, the AVCA announced on Wednesday (Dec. 15). Jenkins became the first Brown player to be named All-America in program history.
Jenkins, a setter from Orlando, Fla., was named Ivy League Player of the Year after leading the Bears to its first Ivy League title since 2001 and Brown's first NCAA Tournament selection since 1998.
Jenkins finished the season third in the league with 9.99 assists per set. During league play, Jenkins posted 10.47 assists per set, guiding Brown's offense to a league-best .262 hitting percentage.
For the season, Jenkins led the Bears with 13 double-doubles and had at least 20 assists in every game this season. Jenkins dished out back-to-back 50+ assist games against Princeton (Oct. 16) and Yale (Oct. 22). Jenkins finished the season with a .267 hitting percentage adding 77 kills, including a season-high seven against Harvard.
