Throughout the month of March, Brown Athletics will celebrate Women's History Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize women who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.
Kathy Hill '94, Women's Basketball
Kathy Hill '94 played a key role for Brown during a period when the Bears won three straight Ivy League championships. Hill earned Second Team All-Ivy honors in 1992, 1993, and 1994, coinciding with a time when the Bears earned three consecutive Ivy titles. During her time at Brown from 1990-94, she helped the Bears compile an overall record of 78-28 (73.6 winning percentage) and an Ivy League mark of 47-9 (83.9 winning percentage). In her senior season in 1993-94, she totaled 271 rebounds – the fourth-most in a single season at Brown – and 89 steals – the third-most in a single season at Brown – as the Bears qualified for the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history. The winner of the team's Defensive Spark Award in 1992, 1993, and 1994, she finished her career at Brown with 838 rebounds – third all-time at Brown – and 299 steals – second all-time at Brown.
