Uche, Kniffin Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's track & field junior Ijeoma Uche and men's lacrosse senior Jack Kniffin have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 10-16, Brown announced on Monday.

Ijeoma Uche, Women's Track & Field, Junior, Lawrenceville, Ga.
Junior Ijeoma Uche broke her own school record in the long jump at the Yale Giegengack Invitational on Saturday. A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Uche topped the field with a leap of 20-6.5 for fourth best in Ivy history, eclipsing her previous record of 20-3 set last season, and is now ranked 15th in the nation.

Jack Kniffin, Men's Lacrosse, Senior, Darien, Conn.
Senior attackman Jack Kniffin scored all three of his goals in the second half as Brown opened its 2020 season with an 11-7 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday. A native of Darien, Conn., Kniffin scored his three goals on five shots and picked up five ground balls. He helped the Bears break a 4-4 halftime tie as Brown outscored Quinnipiac 7-3 in the second half.
