
Beardsley, Choh Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's skiing sophomore Maggie Beardsley and men's basketball junior Tamenang Choh have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 3-9, Brown announced on Monday.

Maggie Beardsley, Women's Skiing, Sophomore, Sandy Hook, Conn.
Sophomore Maggie Beardsley led the Bears over the weekend at the Castleton Carnival, winning her first collegiate race in the giant slalom on Sunday to close out the regular season. The ski team finished second on Saturday and third on Sunday and qualified for the Eastern Regionals (Feb. 22-23). The Sandy Hook, Conn., native – who also placed eighth in the slalom on Saturday – was named to the All-MacConnell Division Team following the weekend for finishing in the top-15 in combined points for the season.

Tamenang Choh, Men's Basketball, Junior, Lowell, Mass.
Junior Tamenang Choh helped lead Brown to a 2-0 weekend sweep of Dartmouth (67-65) and Harvard (72-71) in a pair of home games at the Pizzitola Sports Center. A native of Lowell, Mass., Choh averaged 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game on the weekend. He converted the game-winning 3-point play inside of the final second against the Crimson, finishing the game with 17 points and six rebounds. The previous night he posted a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Bears topped the Big Green.
