Princeton, NJ – The Brown women's golf team finished play at the Princeton Invitational in 12th place with a 36-hole 624 on rounds of 316-308 at the Springdale Country Club.
Seton Hall (575) captured the team title by seven shots over Princeton (582) followed by Penn (586), Yale (588), Rollins (603), St. John's (608), Dartmouth (610), Georgetown (611), Albany (614), Harvard (614), Brown (624) and Penn B (628).
Sophomore Roshannah Gaur led the Bears and finished 17thindividually in the 79 player field, shooting 73-75—148. Freshman Caroline Garay shot 80-78—158 and freshman Amanda Levy came in at 159 (82-77).
"Rosh put two good rounds together and was really confident around the green," said head coach Jackie Beck. "We had a tough first round, but were able to bring it back the second round with solid play to tough pin placements. We are a young team and the fall is a great opportunity to learn more about our game and work harder on course management."
Sophomore Pinya Pipatjarasgit finished at 161 (83-78), while junior Brittany Park shot 81-89—170.
The Bears will compete next in the Florida Atlantic Jupiter Invitational, October 14-15 at the Jonathan's Landing Golf Club.
