Throughout the month of February, Brown Athletics will celebrate Black History Month through the "28 Days of Black at Brown" series. Each day during the month, the Bears will recognize African Americans who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.

Angela Dawn Chuck '02, Women's Swimming & Diving
A standout for the Bears' women's swimming & diving team, Angela Dawn Chuck '02 won a pair of Ivy League titles and twice competed at the Olympic Games. She captured the Ivy League crown in the 200 freestyle in 2001 and in the 100 freestyle in 2002 prior to competing in the 2002 NCAA Championships. Chuck represented Jamaica twice at the Olympics, competing in the 50 freestyle in Sydney in 2000 and in the 100 freestyle in Athens in 2004. An assistant coach with the Duke University swimming & diving program since 2005, she earned a promotion to Associate Head Coach in 2014.
