Throughout the month of February, Brown Athletics will celebrate Black History Month through the "28 Days of Black at Brown" series. Each day during the month, the Bears will recognize African Americans who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.

Yvonne Goldsberry '82, Women's Soccer
Yvonne Goldsberry was one of the key figures in the establishment of a women's soccer dynasty at Brown. She was a four-year All-Ivy selection, a co-captain as a junior and senior, and a defender for the 1980 squad that won Brown's first Ivy championship in 1980. She was an All-New England pick once, an All-Region choice on two occasions and was named second-team All-American as a junior. As a senior, Goldsberry earned the Bears' Bessie H. Rudd Award.
