
Orange, Anderson Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's swimming & diving freshman Audrey Orange and men's basketball senior guard Brandon Anderson have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Nov. 4-10, Brown announced on Monday.

Freshman swimmer Audrey Orange picked up two individual wins in her first collegiate meet and was a part of the first-place 400-freestyle relay team (3:23.99) in the Bears' season-opening meet at Yale on Saturday. The New York, N.Y., native won the 200 freestyle (1:51.27) and the 500 freestyle (4:56.88). Her 200 time is 24th best all-time at Brown while her 500 mark is 19th best.
Brandon Anderson, Men's Basketball, Senior, Mahwah, N.J.
Senior guard Brandon Anderson averaged 27.5 points per game last week and scored his 1,000th career point, leading Brown to a pair of victories. A native of Mahwah, N.J., he netted 23 points and hit the game-winning shot with 12 seconds left in the Bears' 73-71 season-opening win at Bryant on Tuesday. Anderson then scored a career-high 32 points in Brown's 75-68 home-opening win over Canisius on Saturday. For the week, he averaged 4.0 steals, 3.5 assists, and 38.5 minutes per game, while shooting 53.3 percent from the field, 35.7 percent from 3-point distance, and 78.3 percent from the foul line.
