Equestrian Competes at UMass Dartmouth IHSA Show

TIVERTON, R.I. – Senior Lauren Raynor won a blue ribbon as Brown University equestrian competed at the UMass Dartmouth IHSA Show on Saturday at New Claddagh Farm in its third show of the season.

Alongside the first-place finish for Raynor (Chappaqua, N.Y.) in pre-novice flat, freshman Daphne Maniatis (Chevy Chase, Md.) and freshman Grace Skavdahl (Harrison, Neb.) both earned second-place finishes in their IHSA debuts in pre-novice flat and introductory flat respectively.

Junior Hannah Woolley (Medfield, Mass.) represented the Bears in both open fences and open flat while senior Katrina Heilbroner (New York, N.Y.) competed in both intermediate fences and intermediate flat.

Senior Renee Seto (Barrington, R.I.) took part in both intermediate flat and limit fences while sophomore Elena Newman (Gainesville, Fla.) competed in both limit fences and limit flat. Seniors Cate Marchetti (Hanover, Mass.) and Rebecca Lee (Guilford, Conn.) also represented the Bears in limit flat.

Alongside Maniatis and Raynor, senior Leah Peipert (St. Louis, Mo.) also performed in pre-novice flat.

Next, Brown competes at the Roger Williams IHSA Show on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Nora Harris Equestrian in Tiverton, R.I.
