Hanover, NH - Brown's women's golf team opened its 2018 fall season with a seventh place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational, scooting a 36-hole score of 612 (306-306) at the Hanover Country Club.
Albany captured the team championship by six shots with a 36-hole 580. Harvard was second at 586, followed by Dartmouth (598), Hartford (599), Siena (605), Quinnipiac (606), Brown (612), Boston U. (614), Yale (616), Williams (617), Wagner (619), Fairfield (646), Southern New Hampshire (678) and Holy Cross (685).
Sophomore Brittany Park, the 2018 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, paced the Bears and finished 14thindividually with 73-76—149. Sophomore Naomi Lee was close behind at 150, finishing 20thon rounds of 78-72.
Freshmen Pinya Pipatjarasgit and Roshannah Gaur came in next for the Bears, with Pipatjarasgit shooting 80-76—157 and Gaur coming in at 157 on rounds of 75-82. Junior Madeleine Garay came in at 81-82—163.
The Bears are back in action next week, September 24 & 25 at the Boston College Invitational at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA).
