Â
A native of Weston, Mass., Madden concluded her career as a four-time All-Ivy honoree, a two-time All-American – including a First Team selection in 2017 – and a two-time competitor at the U23 World Championships. Brown's 2018 NCAA Woman of the Year Award nominee, Madden competed with the first varsity eight all 53 career spring races.
Â
Hailing from Danville, Calif., Mundelius garnered CRCA Second Team All-America honors for the second straight year. She gained both Second Team All-Ivy and CRCA All-Region/All-Conference in each of her last two seasons. As a freshman, Mundelius won an NCAA title with the second varsity eight.
Â
Mundelius is set to row as a part of USRowing's women's four with coxswain at the 2018 U23 World Rowing Championships in Poznan, Poland from July 25-29.
Â
Over their careers, the duo helped Brown win three Ivy League team titles (2015, 2016, 2017) and finish in the top 10 at the NCAA Championships in all four years. The Bears remain one of three teams to qualify for all 22 NCAA Championships since the event's inception.
Â
General requirements for nominating a student-athlete for CRCA post-season honors include: the student-athlete must meet all eligibility rules as defined by her institution, the student-athlete must have rowed at least 75 percent of the current spring season's races in the varsity boat, the student-athlete must be nominated by her institution, and the head coach of the student-athlete's institution must be a member in good standing of the CRCA.
The nominated student-athletes are then selected to first and second teams based on the following criteria: strength of finish of the institution's varsity eight within the country, coach comments, and 2k erg score.
