Men's Squash Upsets Drexel, 5-4, To Open National Squash Championship

Hartford, Conn. - The 13th ranked Brown men's squash team upset 12th ranked Drexel in the opening round of the Hoehn Cup at the National Team Championship, held at Trinity.
Senior Thomas Blecher had a big win at number one, setting the pace with an 11-8, 11-9, 11-7 decision.
Showing balance throughout the lineup, the Bears were also victorious at numbers six through nine. Sophomore Blake Gilbert-Bono captured a hard-fought five game victory at number six, followed by senior Thomas Walker, a 3-1 winner at number seven. Sophomore Harrison Boyer came from a 2-1 deficit to rally for a 3-2 victory at eight, while junior Palek Goel earned a 3-1 decision at nine.
Brown will face top-seeded Yale in the Hoehn Cup semifinals on Saturday at 11:30 am.
