
Men's Tennis Falls to Yale, 4-2, on Final Day of ECAC Championship

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Brown men's tennis team was defeated by Yale, 4-2, on the final day of the ECAC Championship on Sunday at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
Yale took the doubles point by winning in the first and third spot. Senior Jack Haworth (Corby, England) and sophomore Jacob Walker (Bethesda, Md.) teamed up to take the second doubles match, 6-4.
Brown opened singles action with a win in sixth singles from junior Charles Tan (Austin, Texas) (6-2, 6-1) to tie the match 1-1 and Walker gave the Bears a 2-1 lead with a hard fought victory in second singles, 7-5, 3-6, 6-0. From there, the Bulldogs would close out the match with three straight victories in fifth, fourth and first singles to steal the win.
The Bears next host Boston College on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Pizzitola Sports Center for a 4:00 p.m. match.
