No. 16 Men’s Water Polo Garners Four All-NWPC Selections

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – No. 16 Brown University men's water polo senior Travis Bouscaren, juniors Armen Deirmenjian and Hudson Rawlings, and sophomore Riad Hallal have earned All-Northeast Water Polo Conference honors, the Collegiate Water Polo Association announced on Thursday.
Bouscaren (Cambridge, Mass.) earned First Team All-NWPC accolades while Deirmenjian (Beverly Hills, Calif.), Rawlings (Murrieta, Calif.), and Hallal (Coronado, Calif.) all gained Second Team All-NWPC laurels. Each member of the quartet took home All-NWPC plaudits for the first time.
Entering this weekend's NWPC Championship, Bouscaren leads Brown with 49 goals on the year and has added 27 steals, 28 ejections drawn, and 19 assists. He earned NWPC Player of the Week on Oct. 9 after helping lead the Bears to wins over then-No. 7 Harvard, MIT, and then-No. 12 Princeton.
Deirmenjian ranks second on the team in goals (45), third in assists (32), second in steals (46), second in field blocks (13), and third in ejections drawn (31).
Rawlings stands third on the team in goals (37), second in assists (32), second in steals (46), and second in ejections drawn (58).
For the season, Hallal has made 144 saves on a .516 save percentage. He has tallied double-figure saves in each of seven games this year. Hallal has garnered NWPC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season (Sept. 4, Oct. 9).
No. 4 seed Brown opens play at the 2018 NWPC Championship on Friday at 4:00 p.m. (ESPN+) in a first-round match-up against No. 5 MIT at the Bears' Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
