
Women's Soccer's White Gains Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown University women's soccer freshman forward Star White has gained Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors after scoring the overtime, game-winning goal in the Bears' Ivy opener vs. Dartmouth on Sunday, the Ivy League announced on Monday.
A native of Norfolk, Va., White recorded three points on a goal and an assist, including the game-winning goal in overtime vs. Dartmouth, to help lead Brown to a 2-0 week. In the 92nd minute against the Big Green on Sunday, White netted her second game winner of the year to lift Brown to a 1-0 win in its Ivy League opener. She notched an assist in a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart on Wednesday.
For the season, White ranks first in the Ivy League with five assists and sixth in the conference in points (13) and goals (four). She stands 32nd in the NCAA with five assists. She has tallied a point in eight of her first 10 collegiate games, including in each of her last six contests.
White and the Bears return to play in their first conference road match at Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 4:00 p.m.
