Brown opened its 2017-18 season with a 15th place finished at the Cornell Invitational at the Robert Trent Jones Course in Ithaca, NY. The Bears shot 298-302-306--918 and were paced by senior captain Kevin Li's 54-hole 220.
Temple (855) captured the team title by three shots over Yale (856), followed by Cornell (857), ST. Bonaventure (859), Dartmouth (861), Drexel (874), Columbia (877), Delaware (883), Penn (884), St. Joe's (888), Colgate (897), Bucknell (897), Siena (913), Brown (918) and Canisius (926).
Li shot rounds of 72-75-73 to place 26th individually in the 88-player field. Junior Bryan Hong came in at 225 after rounds of 75-77-76, while freshman Drew Powell shot 77-73-81—231.
Sophomore Kenneth Li finished at 242 after shooting 77-77-88—242, while senior captain Ben Warner shot 84-82-89—255.
