Women's Hockey's Woo '17 and Kittredge '14 Selected in the CWHL Draft

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Former Brown women's hockey student-athletes Maddie Woo '17 and Kelly Kittredge '14 were drafted in the seventh round of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). Kittredge was selected with the 46th overall pick by the Boston Blades while Woo was picked up by the Kunlun Red Star with the 48th overall selection.
Woo concluded her career with the Bears with 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points. The 2016-17 team captain missed the majority of Brown's campaign after opening the year with one goal and three assists in five games. Woo joins the Chinese-based Kunlun Red Star which recently joined the CWHL with a five-year deal starting with the 2017-18 season.
Kittredge appeared in 112 games for the Bears and led all defensemen in scoring as a senior (2013-14) with five assists, four coming in ECAC play. The Blades joined the league for the 2010-11 season and won the Clarkson Cup in the 2012-13 and 2014-15 seasons.
