50m Freestyle Heats
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's swimming & diving sophomore Jagger Stephens (Agana Heights, Hagatna, Guam) finished 69th overall in the 100-meter freestyle at the 17th FINA World Championships in Budapest on Wednesday. Competing for Guam, Stephens recorded a time of 52.35 while winning his heat.
At Brown, Stephens concluded a strong freshman season in 2016-17 by recording the fourth fastest 100-yard freestyle in program history (44.27), the ninth best 200-yard freestyle (1:38.72) and the 12th fastest 50 freestyle (20.51).
Stephens will be competing in the 50-meter freestyle at the FINA World Championships on Friday, July 28.
