
Women's Lacrosse's Moinuddin, Hudgins and Paletta Earn All-Ivy Accolades

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown women's lacrosse sophomore Hafsa Moinuddin (Cheshire, Conn.) and junior Marissa Hudgins (Syracuse, N.Y.) were named Second Team All-Ivy while sophomore Carolyn Paletta (Greenwich, Conn.) earned Honorable Mention All-Ivy laurels in an announcement made by the conference on Wednesday.
Moinuddin, the leading scorer for the Bears this past season with team-highs in goals (33) assists (12) and points (45), started all 15 games on the year. The Cheshire, Conn. native recorded a career-high seven points against Harvard (3G, 4A) and also netted a career-best five goals in Brown's first game versus Sacred Heart. Moinuddin registered multiple points in 13 of the team's 15 games and tallied five hat tricks.
Hudgins led the team in ground balls (40) and caused turnovers (35) on the season and anchored Brown's defense while starting all 15 games. Her 35 caused turnovers on the year rank third all-time at Brown. The Syracuse, N.Y. native was tied for second in caused turnovers (2.33 per game) in the Ivy League and also tied for fifth in ground balls (2.67 per game). In an overtime win against Columbia, Hudgins caused a career-high six turnovers while also contributing her first goal of the season, two ground balls and two draw controls.
Paletta led the Bears in draw controls with 53 on the year, which ranks fifth all-time at Brown in a single season. The two-way midfielder also ranked fourth in the conference in draw controls (3.79 per game). Paletta was second on the team in scoring with 36 points on 30 goals and six assist and had six hat tricks in her sophomore campaign.
