
Men's Crew Falls at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton topped Brown men's crew in the final four races, including the varsity eight in the annual battle for the Content Cup, as both programs wrapped up the last dual race of the season Saturday morning on Lake Carnegie.
After Princeton opened the varsity eight race with a strong lead, the Bears battled back over the remaining 1,000 meters, but it was not enough to pull even as the Tigers held off the attack at 5:37.0. Bruno crossed three seconds later in a time of 5:40.0.
The Tigers claimed the second varsity race in a time of 5:38.8 and also held off the Bears in the third varsity, finishing in a time of 5:43.7, before Brown crossed at 5:48.6. Princeton took the fourth varsity race at 5:48.9, edging the Bears in a time of 5:51.7.
Brown earned a victory in the fifth varsity with a time of 6:01.2 before the Tigers crossed in a time of 6:14.0.
Next up, the Bears will be the EARC Eastern Sprints in two weeks on Sunday, May 14 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. The Bears finished third in the Rowe Cup teams standings last season.
