PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's lacrosse team will close out the 2017 regular season at Dartmouth on Saturday, April 29 with a 12:00 p.m. game.

LAST TIME OUT
Freshman Emma DeGennaro scored the overtime game winner in Brown's first possession to lift the Bears past Columbia, 14-13, on Saturday, April 22 at Stevenson-Pincince Field. With a player-down in the extra period, DeGennaro wasted no time and netted the winning goal at 5:22. The rookie paced Brown's offense with a career-high five points, with three goals and two assists. Sophomore Zoe Verni added four goals to tie a career-high while sophomore Hafsa Moinuddin (2G, 1A), senior Jillian Lee (1G, 2A) and sophomore Carolyn Paletta (1G, 1A) added multi-point efforts. In addition to her first goal of the season, junior Marissa Hudgins had a strong game defensively, causing six turnovers.
LAST YEAR VS. DARTMOUTH
The Bears' defense held the Big Green below its season-scoring average of nine goals to take an 8-5 Ivy League win on Saturday, April 23 at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Junior Rose Mangiarotti and sophomore Zoe Verni led Brown's offense with two goals apiece. The victory marked the Bears' first over the Big Green since 2008.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth enters Saturday's contest with an identical record to Brown, 6-8 overall and 1-5 in the Ivy League. Like the Bears, the Big Green picked up their first conference win last Saturday (April 22) at Yale in a 12-11 victory. Dartmouth had a tough non-conference schedule which included games over No. 4 USC (19-8, L), No. 19 Boston College (16-9, L) and RV Albany (11-8, L). Courtney Weisse leads the Big Green in points with 41, on a team-high 37 goals and four assists. Elizabeth Mastrio ranks second on the squad in scoring with 26 goals and 11 assists for 37 points. Kiera Vrindten has started all 13 games in net and has recorded a 13.26 goals-against average and a .453 save percentage for a 5-8 record. As a team, Dartmouth ranks first in the Ivy League in draw controls, averaging 15.57 per game.
BROWN LEADERS
The Bears' offense is powered by sophomore Hafsa Moinuddin, who has 43 points on 31 goals and 12 assists. Against Harvard on April 15, the Cheshire, Conn. native recorded a career-high seven points with three goals and four assists. Sophomore Carolyn Paletta is second on the squad in points (35) with 29 goals and six assists and leads the team in draw controls with 51. Sophomore Zoe Verni (25G, 2A) is third on the Bears in scoring. Freshman Emma DeGennaro is tied for second in the Ivy League in game-winning goals with four on the year, including the winning tally in a 14-13 overtime win last Saturday (April 22) against Columbia. Junior Marissa Hudgins is Brown's caused turnover leader with 32 and also paces the Bears in ground balls with 37 on the year. The Syracuse, N.Y. native leads the conference in caused turnovers with 2.29 per game. Freshman Maggie Bigelow recorded her first-career win in goal against Cal on March 29 and then started her first game versus San Diego State (March 31). In eight games played with five starts, the rookie has totaled a 11.68 GAA this season along with a .441 save percentage.
