
Coach Phil Estes to Throw Ceremonial First Pitch at Fenway Park

Providence, R.I. - Brown head football coach Phil Estes, who is entering his 20th season at the helm of the Bears' football program, will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at Fenway Park before the Boston Red Sox game against the NY Yankees on Tuesday evening, April 25. Estes and the other five college football coaches that will have teams playing in the Fenway Gridiron Series this fall will all participate in the ceremonial toss prior to the baseball game.
The ceremonial first pitch will conclude a day of events at Fenway Park beginning with the Positive Coaching Alliance luncheon that will be moderated by Joe Sullivan, assistant managing editor/sports for the Boston Globe. After a photo session that will include remarks from Fenway Sports Management Managing Director Mark Lev, each school will be a part of a Facebook Live broadcast.
Shortly before the game, there will be an on-field photo session for the coaches and players from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by the ceremonial first pitch at approximately 6:45 p.m.
Brown will host Dartmouth on Friday evening, November 10, as the first of three college football games at Fenway Park this fall. UMass and Maine will play at Fenway on Saturday, November 11, and Boston College and UConn will meet at Fenway on Saturday, November18.
Tickets for the game will be available with a pre-sale for Brown fans on May 1.
